The Stony Schoolhouse is a beloved piece of Denton County’s history, brought back to life by owner and Stony native, Houston Marquis and his wife. When the local school district slated the original schoolhouse for demolition, Houston stepped in—determined to save a cornerstone of the community’s heritage. Three years later, after a careful and thoughtful restoration, The Stony Schoolhouse once again stands proud—this time as a timeless venue for celebrations of every kind.
